Eric Nixon the former Manchester City and Tranmere Rovers player has left his position as goalkeeping coach with the Prenton Park club.

Nixon, who made over 600 League appearances said, “It has been a joy to have been a part of Tranmere’s rise in recent years, with obviously the return to the Football League is the highlight. I would like to wish Mark Palios, Micky Mellon and the clubs management, players and its supporters all the best in the future.”

Eric has joined The Football Group as its Head of Football, Eric under the guidance of the group he will become a player intermediary over the coming weeks.

Eric will look after all The Football Group player programmes in the UK and overseas.
